Ahava Memorials Featured at the Museum of Modern Art
On June 12, 2025, something extraordinary happened: Ahava Memorials was featured at the iconic Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City.
As part of the Visions Summit—an inspiring, one-day event hosted by Future Commerce and presented by Adobe—Ahava Memorials was honored alongside some of the most forward-thinking creators and entrepreneurs working at the intersection of art, innovation, and commerce.
The summit featured a wide range of speakers and artists, each sharing unique visions of the future. Among them was a short film about my work—both as an artist and as the founder of Ahava Memorials. The film told the story of how I create one-of-a-kind ceramic memorials by incorporating the ashes of loved ones into the glaze of ceramic works of art. The ashes subtly transform the final piece, making each memorial deeply personal and truly unique.
To see my work recognized at MoMA—an institution that has shaped the world’s understanding of modern art—was a surreal and deeply humbling experience. It was also a moment to reflect on the power of memory, grief, and craft, and how honoring a life can itself be a form of art.
I’m grateful to Future Commerce and Adobe for their vision, and to everyone who has trusted me with the sacred task of transforming ashes into art. Thank you for being part of this journey.
With love and memory,
Daniel Hoffman
Founder, Ahava Memorials
