When we receive a small portion of cremated remains (usually just a tablespoon or two), we carefully prepare them to be mixed into our proprietary glazes. During the firing process, the kiln reaches incredibly high temperatures. This causes the ash to fuse with the ceramic glaze, becoming a permanent part of the piece.
